AirAsia marked its first foray into esports as a special sponsor and exclusive airline partner of Mineski Pro Team in 2018. The Mineski Pro Team is a top Dota 2 team in Asean and has participated in several international tournaments, most recently finishing in the top bracket during 'The International', the annual esports world championships.
The five-man team at the time consisted of Malaysians Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung and Kam “NaNa” Boon Seng, Singaporean Daryl Koh “iceiceice” Pei Xiang, Thai Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong and Filipino Michael “ninjaboogie” Ross Jr - a roster which represented key Asean markets for AirAsia.

As part of the wider partnership, we worked with Team Mineski to build their profile and highlight the work that the team put in to get to where they are today.
